			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img class="alignright" style="border: 0pt none;margin: 5px" title="Using Lists in Facebook" src="http://media.autoconversion.net/logos/logo-facebook-square.png" alt="Facebook" width="174" height="174" />Despite the rapid embrace by auto dealers to pick up Facebook as part of their <a href="http://autoburstweb.com/">digital marketing strategy</a>, there still is a large number of people uncomfortable and not familiar with the use of Facebook, be it for personal or business use. As a result, many people are not able to benefit from the full capabilities of one of the world&#8217;s more useful social marketing tools.</p>
<p>Some people struggle with the idea of a single system being utilized for both personal and professional use. Many people do not understand the intricate sharing capabilities of your information on Facebook, that you can post information to be shared with only the people you choose.</p>
<p>For instance, you may want to post commentary on an article that only your auto industry buddies might enjoy, but your prospective customer friends might not need to see that. Maybe you want to post pictures of your kid&#8217;s birthday party but you don&#8217;t want ALL of your Facebook friends seeing it. Only family members and people that were there.</p>
<p>These are common situations we all have and fortunately Facebook is designed for you to share only what you want and with whom.</p>
<p>One way to achieve this is by using the Lists feature in the Friends section. The List feature enables you to create a variety of lists for various purposes. For instance, you could create lists for people you went to school with, people you work with, people you meet online that are prospective customers, whatever you feel the need for you can create a list for that. You can associate the same person to more than one list and you can create as many layers and combinations you like.</p>
<p>For instance, I have a list called &#8220;Pic Friends&#8221; which I add friends to when I am comfortable that they would see photos I post, like of my kids especially. I also have a list called &#8220;Virtual Buddies&#8221; which are people I have never met and do not know much about, but somehow became connected. I don&#8217;t need pics of my kids in the browsers of people I do not know well, but I may still want to share harmless fun with them. Lists are perfect for this.</p>

<em> Twitter</em> is a great tool for reaching customers and prospects, building relationships with folks, educating your followers on your business values, products, and services, and ultimately for driving sales. If you have been using Twitter then you know that success is directly impacted by the amount of time you spend using the tool.</p>
<p>Fortunately there are ways to make your Twitter efforts more efficient. One of these ways is with the use of <em>TweetDeck</em>.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.tweetdeck.com/">TweetDeck</a> is a browser for select social media networking sites allowing you to manage information on Twitter, facebook, LinkedIn and MySpace. In fact with TweetDeck you can even manage multiplate Twitter accounts, plus any facebook pages to which you are an admin can be managed from TweetDeck too.</p>
<p>For example, we recently launched a new Twitter account for <a href="http://twitter.com/blogproautomo">BlogPro Automotive</a> and are using to TweetDeck to manage it along with other Twitter accounts we have in addition to customer Twitter accounts.</p>
<p>This week we are holding a webinar dedicated to the use of TweetDeck and Twitter as part of our <em>AC Social Webinar Series</em>. <p>This week we are pleased to welcome our friend Roger Stix of <a href="http://atlantabusinessvideo.com/">Atlanta Business Video</a> as our guest presenter who will share with us some tips for getting your final videos to the web using Viddler. Roger is the chief Producer at ABV and has extensive experience in video production, publishing, and syndication. Viddler.com is a <a href="http://autoburstweb.com/solutions/video-hosting-streaming/">video hosting and streaming service</a> that many people and business utilize.</p>

The Internet has made it easy to complain about poor service at any establishment and there is a growing trend to post negative comments online, but few easy solutions to gather comments from happy customers.</p>
<p>Auto retailers are now putting more focus on providing a great customer buying experience and looking for ways to leverage &#8220;word of mouth” (WOM) advertising from their many satisfied customers in an online tangible fashion.</p>
<p>Mark has over 26 years in the automotive, leasing, and financial sectors of the transportation industry.  As the first full time editor of Digital Dealer magazine, he got to speak first hand with dealer owners, Internet Managers and vendors on the cutting edge of technology and social media.</p>
<p>He got upset when he saw good dealers being “blasted online” and wanted to help dealers paint a more accurate picture for auto shopping consumers.  By offering search engine optimized pages for sales professionals he allows them to build their own personal brand, and since their pages are transportable to any dealership they work for, their efforts benefit them as long as they stay in the business.</p>

<p><a href="http://www.brightcove.com/">Brightcove</a> was recently recognized as a leader by Forrester Research, Inc. in its report, The Forrester Wave™: U.S. Online Video Platforms, Q4 2009, which was published today. Brightcove was among the select companies that Forrester invited to participate in its Wave report, and the company received top scores across all of the major evaluation categories.</p>
<p>We are new to the system but have been considering Brightcove among other <a href="http://autoburstweb.com/products/ac-video/">online video content providers</a> for several months now. We believe the system has the innovative platform we need today, and the vision and leadership to keep pace with our ever-changing video needs.</p>
<p>The webinar will concentrate on 2 of the 4 core modules of Brightcove:</p>
<ol>
<li>Media</li>
<li>Publishing</li>
</ol>
<p>For the Media module we will be looking at how to upload new media and associate media with a list.</p>
<p>For the Publishing module we will look at how to create a project/player and, time permitting, may even go through one way to place your video on your blog or website using Hana Code Insert, a WP plug-in we commonly use on our WordPress sites.</p>

<p>The exercise for this webinar will be on how to create a custom page on your Facebook Fan Page using the Static FBML application. The Static FBML application enables you to add advanced functionality to your Fan Page using HTML or FBML, like we did this year for our special <a href="http://www.facebook.com/AutoConversion?v=app_4949752878">holiday offer</a> to create our fans and customers a custom page for their Fan Page. The webinar should be short and sweet, probably around 20-30 minutes.</p>
<p>FBML stands for Facebook Markup Language which is exactly what it says, a markup language specific to Facebook. We will not be getting into the use of this markup language, only showing how to add it to your Fan Page and then how to insert HTML into it to create your custom page.</p>
<p>To utilize this application, click on the Applications tab that appears at the bottom left corner of your browser when logged in to your Facebook account. You will most likely also have to select to &#8220;Browse more Applications&#8221;. From there, do a search for &#8216;fbml&#8217; in the search box above the application category types. Now you should see the static FBML application. Click that and then from there look for a blue box labeled &#8220;Go to Application&#8221;. Once you click that then you will be propositioned to &#8220;allow&#8221; this application on your Fan Page. Once that is done then go to your Page admin and &#8220;edit&#8221; the application by inserting your code and you are done.</p>
<p>You can visit the <a href="http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=4949752878&amp;ref=appd">Static FBML application page</a> on Facebook for more information or to become a Fan. We will be recording this webinar so after it is complete and we polish up the recording we will then notify everyone who was registered when it is available on our <a href="http://www.viddler.com/explore/autoconversion/">Viddler group</a>.</p>

The best way to improve upon the ROI of your email marketing is by instituting a double opt-in sign up process. By doing so you can expect to see your response rates increase to 20, 40, or even 60% or more.</p>
<p>Setting up a double opt-in mailing list on your blog or website is not the most difficult thing to do, but there are some details to consider as well as some techniques that can be applied to enhance the customer experience. This includes things like having verification pages, auto responses, subject lines, etc.</p>
<p>Each of these elements plays an important role in initiating the customer experience so you want to be sure that the process and information you prepare is accurate, in tact, and effective. These are the technicalities behind <a href="http://autoburstweb.com/services/email-marketing/">permission-based email marketing</a> that have a lasting effect for people, so it is worth learning this and putting in the time required.</p>
